A quiet, secluded self-catering escape across the Mutirikwi: serene lake views, bird-rich Miombo woodland, and space to unwind without the lodge bustle. Access is by boat transfer from Romelda (arrivals 10:00–14:00), or by high-clearance / 4x4 with more than 48 hours’ prior arrangement. MidWaters is fitted with a backup inverter system for electricity faults. Satellite WiFi is available. Minimum two-night stay.

Lodges
Hippo and Zebra Lodges each offer two en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, and dining area opening onto a raised deck with views over the lake and the Glenlivet range. Ideal for families or couples who want a shared living space with privacy. Book one lodge for up to four guests.

Buffalo Chalet
Buffalo Chalet has a double bed and sleeps up to two extra guests, with an en-suite bathroom and a private seating area or verandah. Pair it with a lodge when you need more space while keeping the same lakeside outlook.

The Property
MidWaters sits on a private reserve of lush Miombo woodland and flourishing orchards: citrus, apples, pomegranates, and a small vegetable garden. Peaceful and bird-rich, with beautiful lake views from the lodges. Exclusive Use opens the gardens and pool area to your group. Bring all food and drinks, cleaning supplies, bin liners, and toiletries.

Facilities

- How do we get there?
- Boat transfer from Romelda (arrivals 10:00–14:00), or high-clearance / 4x4 with more than 48 hours’ prior arrangement.
- Is there a minimum stay?
- Yes. A minimum of two nights.
- What should we bring?
- All food and drinks, cleaning supplies, bin liners, and toiletries. Kitchens are fitted with most everyday equipment. Bring any special kitchen items you need. Bathing towels are provided; please bring swimming towels if required.
- How many people can stay?
- One lodge sleeps up to four; add Buffalo Chalet for two more guests, or book Exclusive Use for up to ten.
- Can we do activities if staying at MidWaters?
- Yes. We can arrange activities for guests at MidWaters. Please arrange in advance or on arrival if you wish to do any of the provided activities.
- What are the transfer times?
- We include one daily transfer to the lodge per full day of stay. Please arrange in advance, as these depend on boat availability. Times are between 07:00 and 17:00.
- Can we have meals at the lodge?
- We can arrange breakfast and lunches at the lodge, depending on availability. Dinners are not possible because boat transfers are not available after sunset.
